Captain Corey Simmons of On the Hook Charters in Daytona Beach offers Inshore, Offshore, of Shark fishing trips as well as Boat handling or surf fishing lessons. Corey has grown up on the Halifax river and spent his entire life observing the habits and learning the various techniques used to target many different species of saltwater fish whether inshore, offshore, in a boat or from land! As a commercial fisherman and recreational angler Corey has over 35yrs experience fishing the waters all over the state of Florida. Starting as a mate on fishing boat as a teenager for fun gradually transitioned into a life long love for the ocean. After spending many years working on a variety of fishing boats Corey left his last position as Relief Captain & First Mate on the Critter Fleet he started his own charter Service in 2014 with a 17ft boat and wouldn't change a thing! Its been several boats since the Dixie, we currently offer half day and full day private charters for up to 6 guests aboard a 29ft center console with twin 250 Suzuki outboard motors.

My husband and I came down from KY for our 10 year anniversary. We wanted to go fishing so after lots of research we decided to go with On The Hook. We have been deep sea fishing before but this was the best service and the most fun we have had. Captain Corey and Melissa were great company and very helpful. We caught lots of fish and they even recommended a place that would cook them for us. I know anytime we come back we will be using their service. I would 100% recommend them.

We had an excellent time on the water today. We did not pull in the big one but caught four different types of fish that we are not accustomed to catching. The morning started out cold, but the fish were moving. We were lucky and saw a little bit of everything today from dolphins to turtles as well. We will be back ...thanks Corey and Melissa for the great outing.

Captain and mate were so focused on us having fun. I was worried about our 9yr old son not catching anything or having issues. NOT AT ALL! Captain Cory and Melissa never took their attention off of him. They were so attentive to his needs as well as ours that we didn’t need anything except to have fun! Score of 1-10, I give them a 12 all day! I can’t begin to give a high enough praise. We WILL be booking with them again! *****
