Lighthouse Point Park will re-open on December 3, 2022.
Open Daily: February 10th through Daylight Savings Time start: 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Start of Daylight Savings Time through September 30th: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
October 1st through November 30th: 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
December 1st through February 9th: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Admission: $10 per vehicle. $20 annual inlet parks pass. Free for Handicapped and Disabled Veteran registered vehicles. Additional discounts available for Veterans, surviving spouses or children of first responders and Veterans whom died in the line of duty.
Experience the beauty of the Ponce de Leon Inlet at Lighthouse Point Park, a 52-acre inlet park located on the northern shoreline of the inlet. The park features elevated wooden boardwalks, restrooms, and picnic pavilions that are available for reservation. Visitors can also explore the nature trail in the forested area of the park that leads to a scenic observation tower overlooking the Halifax River, an 800' jetty deck and a dog-friendly swimming beach area.
Please note that under the Town of Ponce Inlet Ordinance Article VI Section 6.7, alcohol is prohibited within the park. Trailers are not permitted on weekends and holidays without prior authorization from the Coastal Division through a Special Event Permit. There is a $25 application fee and the form can be submitted via email to RecProCoastal@volusia.org.
Pets are allowed on the inlet shore beach area and must be leashed at all times, however, they are not allowed on elevated park boardwalks after 10 a.m. Pets are never allowed on the Atlantic Ocean beach.
The property is owned by the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection and managed by Volusia County under a lease. Amenities are handicapped accessible and dog-friendly. For more information or to reserve recreational facilities, please call 386-736-5953 Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
The Volusia County Marine Science Center is located on Lighthouse Drive within the park and is a wonderful place to visit with a variety of aquariums and marine educational exhibits.
