Bulow Creek State Park boasts over 5,600 acres, with more than 1,500 acres of submerged lands. This natural wonderland is renowned for its stunning southern live oak forest, which includes the Fairchild Oak, one of the largest live oak trees in the south. The park has been a silent witness to over 400 years of human activities, including the Second Seminole War in 1836, which led to the destruction of the neighboring Bulow Plantation.
Discover the park's interior by hiking on several trails, where visitors can spot white-tailed deer, barred owls, and raccoons. The Bulow Woods Trail, a seven-mile trek, takes hikers to the Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park.
