IMPORTANT PARK ACCESS INFORMATION

Please be aware beach access walkway No. 3 is currently closed due to beach erosion.

Please use walkways 4, 5, 6 ,7 and 8 to access the Atlantic Ocean beaches.

Location: 2995 N. Peninsula Ave., New Smyrna Beach

Open daily: February 10th through Daylight Savings Time start:  6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. 

Start of Daylight Savings Time through September 30th:  6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

October 1st through November 30th:  6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. 

December 1st through February 9th:  6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Admission: $10 per vehicle. $20 annual inlet parks pass.  Free for Handicapped and Disabled Veteran registered vehicles.  Additional discounts available for Veterans, surviving spouses or children of first responders and Veterans whom died in the line of duty.

Smyrna Dunes Park is a 184-acre inlet park located along the southern shoreline of Ponce de Leon Inlet, with over 2 miles of wide, elevated, handicapped-accessible boardwalks, scenic overlooks, a 300’ handicapped accessible fishing pier, and dog-friendly swimming beach areas. The park is jointly owned by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management and the State of Florida, Department of Environmental Protection and Volusia County manages the park under leases it maintains with these federal and state agencies. Pets are allowed on the inlet shore beach area and must be leashed at all times, not allowed on the elevated park boardwalks after 10 a.m, and never allowed on the Atlantic Ocean Beach. Alcohol and trailers are not permitted in the park. Park pavilions are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved.
