Experience the beauty of nature at Lake Ashby Park, a 71-acre waterfront park located in Volusia County. The park offers a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities including canoeing, fishing, walking, and picnicking. Anglers can fish from the boardwalk and along the shore, and a launch site for personal watercraft is available off Commercial Avenue.
The park offers primitive tent camping, a playground, volleyball court, nature/horse trails, boardwalks, fishing pier, grills, and pavilions with picnic tables. A nearby free public boat ramp is also available for visitors.
Lake Ashby Park is open from sunrise to sunset and features a 3,500-square-foot children's play area with a variety of climbers, swings, and ladders. The park was named for Major James A. Ashby, who helped lead American military forces during the second Seminole War.
Please note that per Ch.82 of the Volusia County Code, the length of stay for authorized camping is no greater than seven (7) consecutive days or thirty (30) total days per calendar year.
