About Jewelry of Joy

Joy Badders is an artist, gold smith, and silver smith, raised in rural Minnesota by her father, a farmer, and her mother, a school teacher. After high-school, Joy moved to Minneapolis and took up the art of jewelry making. Soon her passion for creating fine jewelry took her to the Colorado Mountains, where she became inspired and opened her first store in Nederland (just north of Boulder).

After a year in Nederland, Joy began traveling the country attending art shows with her hand-crafted pieces. It was at one of these art shows that Joy met her future husband, Gregg Badders. After getting married, Joy and Gregg traveled across the US together, attending art shows and growing more passionate about the art of jewelry making.

In 1988 The Badders moved to Florida. The art shows were amazing and they won numerous awards for their work. Soon after, Joy and Gregg opened a store on Flagler Ave, New Smyrna Beach, showcasing their work and that of others. Together they  renovated three locations before building a new storefront in 2016. This store was well-equipped with studios for creating their masterpieces and a brilliant showroom to showcase the hand-crafted work. In 2017 Joy lost Gregg.This encouraged her to continue following her passion and love of creating.

Today, Joy is accompanied in her store by the wonderful ladies, Rose, Donna, and Emilie, who help her create beautiful one-of-a-kind jewelry to lift your heart and soul.
