Meet Capone & Lulu, the inspiration and namesake behind Cap'n Lu's!
Both dogs suffer from food allergies as did Michael's last dog, Tony. For years, Michael struggled to find a pet supply store on beachside that catered to health-conscious dog and cat owners. As a New Smyrna Beach resident, he found himself dreading the drive to the mainland to find the right food for his beloved dogs. In his search, he discovered that most food sold in the grocer store is full of fillers, by-products, and additives that don't support your pet's health and can cause allergies and other health problems to worsen.
Michael was inspired to begin making his own natural dog food and treats to keep Capone and Lulu's health in check. Soon, he came up with the idea to open his own pet supply store conveniently located on beachside NSB. Cap'n Lu's only sells natural foods and treats that contain no additives, fillers, or by-products. This is the food that Michael feeds his own dogs!

They have super friendly and helpful staff with great, healthy food for my cats that is reasonably priced. I also love supporting a small, locally owned business.

Can't say enough wonderful things about Cap'n Lu's! They have provided us with great advice regarding our dog's dietary needs. Their harness and toy selection is plentiful and unique. And their involvement in the community doesn't go unnoticed. Happy 1 year anniversary and here's to many, many more!
