"Almost" Cinco de Mayo Street Party is free and open to the public. For the Street Party, Beach Street will be closed to traffic from Bay Street to 3rd Avenue (in front of Tia Cori's Tacos, 214 N.
Beach Street). A family-friendly event, the street party will feature a stage with live music by Are Friends Electric, DJ Jukebox Bully, and Mr. Martini Band.
In addition to traditional food and beverages, several fun contests are scheduled. A Mexi-Mutt Costume Contest benefitting Sophie's Circle Dog Rescue will be held at 3 PM on the corner of Beach
Street and Bay Street. Sophie's Circle aims to raise awareness and funds for its dog rescues while celebrating the creativity and companionship of our canine friends. More information and registration for the Mexi-Mutt Costume Contest are available https://form.jotform.com/240980217527155
A Hot Sauce Contest and a Fiesta Wear Contest will also be held. Food trucks will serve delicious Mexican food specials and festival food. Adult libations, south-of-the-border beers, and several flavors
of margaritas will be available for purchase. "Almost" Cinco de Mayo promises a good time for all! Free parking is available behind the shops on Beach Street.
In keeping with the celebration, "Almost" Cinco de Mayo is Daytona's own Tia Cori's Tacos 13th anniversary serving downtown Daytona Beach. Located on the North end of Beach Street, Tia Cori's
Tacos is known for giving an "authentic taste of Mexico," making the "Almost" Cinco de Mayo Street Party a perfect excuse to throw a perfect fiesta!
